Moments

Life is composed of moments. It’s the moments we carry with us; joyful moments, heartbreaking moments, life changing moments, angry moments, adventurous moments, and proud moments. The moments that make up most of our life, and what we fail to remember much, are the ordinary everyday moments.

Something I love to do is to mess around in the kitchen with my kids, while listening to my jam (whatever that happens to be that particular day). One day, the kids and I were in the kitchen snacking and talking. The kids were getting along, the weather was beautiful, the house was somewhat clean, and we were all looking forward to my husband coming home from a week long business trip. It was one of those days that I couldn’t help but be grateful for all the blessings that God had given me. You know those moments that everything feels right, but you still feel as though something critical is missing? Yeah, that’s how I felt as I watched my kids talking and laughing. I heard the door open at the same moment my play list switched songs. I’ve learned to treasure those ordinarily perfect moments… because we all know they are few and far between,
